Former first lady, Michelle Obama, stated in Recent Podcast Episodes that the notion of seeking the presidency last week was “unimaginable.”
“When people inquire if I will run, the reply is no, you know… If that question is posed to you, you’re unaware of the sacrifices your child endures when parents assume that position,” Obama expressed to Kylie Kelce. Wife of former NFL player Jason Kelse, during Thursday’s “Don’t Lie” podcast episode.
“It’s simply not feasible,” Obama emphasized later on.
A survey taken last summer regarding the 2024 presidential election showed Obama as the sole Democrat likely to challenge President Trump. This poll surfaced during a challenging phase for Democrats amid the campaign season, as various party members urged President Biden to withdraw from the race.
Obama recently did not attend Trump’s inauguration and expressed her frustration towards the president in order to highlight a conspiracy theory regarding former President Barack Obama’s birthplace.
“For years, Donald Trump utilized his influence to instill fear in us. His limited, narrow perspective rendered him insecure about the existence of two diligent, well-educated, and accomplished individuals who happen to be black.”
