Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) spoke about MSNBC's “deadline” on Tuesday Signal group chats between Trump administration officials about military strikes against the Hoosis could violate the “Spying Act and the Federal and Presidential Records Act.”
Blumenthal said: “I spoke with some of the pilots who attacked these missions against Houthis. They have a very serious, threatening air defense system that can shoot down our planes. They also have early warnings that could have been given to human targets that described all the things that followed, for details about the targets, human targets that were on the list, weather, weapon systems, and more about the extreme events that followed. Classification, the best secret status is to turn your head from the highest staff of our security facility.”
He said, “I agree that accountability must be made. If a resignation is required, as reported, then an investigation is required by either the Department of Defense, the IG Inspector General or the FBI. Specific security investigation services within the FBI. The jaw drops.”
