President Donald Trump signed four executive orders on Tuesday, from the Treasury's modern payment system to election integrity measures to halting security clearances.

“Historically, I think checks issued by the Treasury are 14 times more likely to be subject to fraud than electronic transfer payments,” White House secretary Will Scharf said he detailed the order.

Trump stressed that Treasury Secretary Scott Bescent wanted to modernize the system, adding that it should have been done 20 or 30 years ago.

The fourth order Trump signed is titled “Maintaining and protecting the integrity of American elections,” and has taken many actions aimed at ensuring elections in the United States.

The White House, DHS, the State Department, and the Social Security Administration have been directed to provide federal database access to the state to verify individual citizenship and voter eligibility when registering for voters.

Additionally, the order places conditions on the state's election-related federal funds.
“Federal election-related funds are subject to states that comply with integrity measures set out by federal law, including the requirement that states use national mail voter registration forms that require proof of citizenship,” reads the White House fact sheet.
Additionally, Attorney General Pam Bondy has been instructed to “take appropriate measures against states counting barrats received after election day in federal elections,” and federal funds for elections in these states are “contingent on compliance,” according to the fact sheet.
Trump said he could expect more steps in election integrity in the coming weeks.
