Trump Needs to Be ‘Held Accountable’ for Signal Chat Cover Up

President Donald Trump must be “bearing responsibility” for signal chat among senior national security officials, Gregory Meek representative (D-ny) said on CNN's “News Central” on Thursday.

Host Wolf Blitzer said, “I know I've heard testimonies from Trump administration officials, senior intelligence and national security officials this week. Did they tell the truth about the nature of these very sensitive debates during the course of this unsecured commercial app conversation?”

Meeks said, “They are absolutely lying. They've been lying the whole time. They tried to hide it. If you look and hear that this messaging app is violating our national security, there's no doubt. Or you'll be fired immediately.”

He continued, “It's an absolute violation of our national security. It puts our pilots at risk. It's what we saw, then we take up cover-ups. And sometimes we say that concealment is just as bad as the act itself. It's your eyes, or you hear it, your ears aren't lying to you.”

“That's ridiculous, and I think President Trump and all of them need to be held accountable,” Meeks added.
