Texas Senate Passes Legislation Banning Red Flag Laws

The Texas Senate passed a law Wednesday banning the enforcement of red flag laws in municipalities across Lone Star.

The law, SB 1362, means that small governments in the state will be prohibited from enforcing the Red Flag Act unless the state legislature passes a statewide bill. It has been reported.

CBS Austin It's attracting attention SB 1362 was introduced by State Sen. Brian Hughes (R).

Breitbart News spoke with Chris McNutt, Texas Gun Rights Chairman. “It's a big victory for gun owners, but the fight isn't over,” he said. “HB 162, the House Companion Bill, was suspended in Texas homes without any signs of life after being assigned to what appears to be a Kill Committee. It is important to encourage all gun Texans to support this important legislation before it's too late.”

“Texas gun rights will not rest until gun confiscation is prohibited throughout Texas,” McNutt said.
