The US Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) has severely criticised Maryland’s sanctuary city for releasing illegal immigrants charged with murder.
“Ice Baltimore says that Sanctuary County in Prince George County, Maryland, has ignored the detainee’s demands and released the community double the number of deported illegal alien murderers previously deported,” Bill Melgin reported Tuesday. “Rene Pop-Chub, 32, faces murder charges in Prince George County, but Ice says he was released from local custody last Tuesday without cooperation or notification. Ice Baltimore found him and arrested him on Saturday in Hyattville, Maryland.”
In a statement, Ice said Hyattsville put people at risk to the community by ignoring the detainee’s requests.
“When jurisdictions refuse to respect our immigrant detainees, they put their communities at risk. As here, dangerous, illegal foreigners charged with murder and assault have been brought back to the streets,” the statement said. “Thanks to the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our officers, this individual has been detained. Their work ensures that he is now facing justice and does not pose a threat to Maryland’s public safety.”
According to Fox News, Pop-Chub was Deportation “After he illegally entered the United States, he returned to Guatemala in 2023 and 2017.” It remains unclear how and where he illegally entered the United States.
“After being arrested on Saturday, Poptube was transferred to custody of the former US s-service,” FoxNews added.
