UK Supreme Court Rules ‘Trans Women’ Are Not Legal Biological Women

The London Supreme Court held that for the purposes of determining the issue of equality, terms such as “woman” and “gender” refer to biological sex rather than gender.

Actors welcomed the “death” of self-identification as the UK Supreme Court in Westminster ruled on Wednesday morning that the UK Equality Act referred to “biological women and biological sex.”

The court ruled: “The definition of sex in the Equality Act of 2010 reveals that the concept of sex is binary, and that a person is either female or male.”

Judge Patrick Hodge said he unanimously agreed that the bodies of five judges cannot be counted as women when it comes to Equality Act, a British legal paper that assumes gender identity, or gender in cases other than biological sex.

As a court Notewhich is related to laws such as the Scotland Act of 2018, moved to enforce gender equality on public bodies by requiring a 50-50 division between men and women on the board. However, because the law was interpreted up to this ruling, the board of official bodies could be biologically completely male, as long as half of the members who say they are actually women hold gender recognition certificates.

Daily telegraph Quote Maya Forster, chief executive of a gender critical sexual issues group, said the ruling declared gender self-identification as “dead.” She stated the following about the verdict:

“They saw the whole debate, not just who would enter the bathroom and trans women. This is about to change organizations, employers, service providers. Everyone has to pay attention to this. This is from the highest courts on the land.

Nevertheless, the ruling is not an attack on transgenderism itself, the court said the Equality Act still provides very clear protections for transgender people. They stated: “The Equality Act of 2010 protects transgender people not only through the protected characteristics of gender reallocation, but also protects direct, indirect, and harassment in the sex they acquire.”

Lord Hodge said:

Scottish trans group urged supporters not to panic in response to the verdict, Report Guardian“We urge people not to panic, and there will soon be a lot of commentary that is likely to deliberately exaggerate the impact this decision has on the lives of all trans people.
