The tragic video filmed a Florida State student hiding under a campus desk as mass shootings unfolded Thursday.
“I’m scared,” she heard a woman hearing in footage taken by an English graduate student inside the William Johnston building on campus.
“Note! Caution! This is an FSU alert,” pre-recorded audio added to messages being played through the speaker. “There are dangerous or life-threatening situations on campus. Run your shelter to a safe place now. FSU police are responding.
The woman was then able to hear her sob as she raw under the desk to join the other students.

The student who filmed the video identified as Sophia Ziemer told TMX News, “We met arts education people who welcomed us into the meeting room at their conference,” and “that’s where we were able to evacuate.”
Phoenix Echner, 20, believed to be a Florida State student, was identified as a suspect in Thursday’s mass shooting, leaving two deaths and six wounded.
The motive for the attack remains unknown.

Tallahassee School is now allowing students to collect their belongings from campus buildings on Fridays.
“The University will be staying up all night for the victims at Langford Green on Friday, April 18th at 5pm in front of an unconquered statue,” he said.
FSU President Richard McCullough called the shooting “a tragic, meaningless act of violence at the heart of our campus.”
“At lunchtime, an active shooter fired a shot at the student union,” he wrote to X on Thursday.

“We are grieving. We are grieving with the families, friends and loved ones of those who are lost. We are holding the injured person and we are standing with all those who are hurt,” he added.
