Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James has been ambiguous and rebellious in her first interview since claiming she has been involved in mortgage fraud.
On Thursday, James appeared in “Inside City Hall.” Spectrum NY1 To discuss the allegations, she apparently didn’t just call them “basic.”
“Let’s tell every New Yorker and every American. The allegations are unfounded,” she said.
when It was pushed To provide more information, James avoided it. “You know, as a good lawyer, I don’t sue this case on camera,” she replied.
“It’s important to respond to these claims in the right time and in the right way.”
James was also attacked, characterising himself as one of the many victims “targeted” by President Donald Trump and his “revenge tour.”
“I will not be silent. I will not be bullied. I will not bend. I will not break. And I will not bow to anyone. No one, including these US presidents, is beyond the law,” she insisted.
“I don’t go back and forth about these unfounded allegations. I’m refocused on standing up for New York’s freedom, freedom and the rule of law.”
James seemed unconfident and not overstated on Wednesday, just a day before the New York interview. New York Post It has been reported. The outlet described the phone tactics as “unfamiliar.”
Law professor Jonathan Turley said the evidence against James was “very simple” but was “pretty awful.”
James may argue that the swirling allegations are “basically unfounded,” but other legal scholars aren’t that sure. Above Fox News On Tuesday night, law professor Jonathan Turley showed that the evidence against James was not only “very easy” but also “very awful.”
In August 2023, James, 66, and his relatives purchased a house in Norfolk, Virginia. As previously reported by Blaze News, in documents relating to the purchase, James pledged to use the home as a “major residence” as a “major residence.”
James is also allegedly violating the terms of his Brooklyn investment property. This claims that if it indicates that there are five previous documents, then there are only four units.
According to William Prute, director of the Federal Housing and Treasury Agency, the purpose of losing the number of units is to secure a ranking loan. Fannie May and Freddie Mac. To qualify for a conforming loan, there are no more than four units of real estate.
Pulte further alleged that James cited his father as his husband in 1983 and even listed his father in May 2000 to secure a mortgage. In May 2000, he claimed that “Mr. James was once again listed as “husband and wife.”
This week, Pulte wrote to the letter, recommending that Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche investigate whether James committed wire, mail and bank fraud and made false statements to financial institutions among other crimes.
Despite allegations of this history of forging real estate documents for better lending terms, James mercilessly targeted Trump in a legal campaign that began shortly after he took office at the end of his first term. Turley joked that she “prosecuted Trump for everything but tearing the label off the mattress.”
She even bravely appealed to Trump and the Trump organization, who allegedly overvaluing their property in order to ensure better terms with banks and insurance companies. The irony that James is currently facing similar charges is “completely shattered,” Turley said.
Turley also warned that in Trump’s relentless pursuit, James set the standard that he might not be able to see himself.
“She argued that these techniques are important and that strong people should not be given a free pass,” Tarley explained. “Well, that bill has expired.”
