President Donald and Melania Trump joined children and families across the country for egg rolls, coloring and reading days on the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday.
Trump and the Easter Bunny launched the festival on the South Lawn after the president made a brief statement.
The President and First Lady hosted the egg roll and were blown away as a group of different children reached the starting point.
They also colored with groups of children at the South Lawn table where the president joked. “I’m really into this!”
He also confirmed that the kids at the table next to him would bring out a smile from his wife, knowing they were coloring with the first lady.
“Do you know who she is? First Lady of the United States!” Trump said.
The president said he would inspect the children’s artwork when the children are finished and he would sign everything.
I also read the first lady Bunny with a big heart Marilyn Sadler to the kids in the corner of the reading.
She asked her children to learn lessons after reading.
Other readers on Monday included White House press chief Karoline Leavitt, Labor Secretary Lori Chavez Deremer, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Labor Secretary Shawn Duffy and his wife, Rachel Campos Duffy.
Trump also joked about then-President Joe Biden on the 2022 Easter Egg Roll.
“Do you remember when Bunny took Joe Biden with you?” Trump asked the press. “He’s not taking Trump out.”
Watch: Easter Bunny redirects Biden after mentioning Afghanistan:
Before returning to the oval office after the festival, the president performed his trademark dance to the delight of the crowd.
