Virginia Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin appeared on Fox News on Tuesday to promote his relationship with federal immigration officials to crack down on dangerous immigrant gangs.
Talk to Martha Maccallum from Fox News storyYoungkin also took the time to take jabs at nearby Maryland Democrats, where Virginia works to support dangerous gang members, helping them eradicate, detain them, and deport them.
When MacCallum pointed out that Virginia had worked with the Fed to grab members of the crime gang, Youngkin replied that his state was involved in “unprecedented cooperation between federal agencies and state resources to get the bad guys.”
The governor said the federal government is working with state authorities to “rewind” the federally operated criminal network. So far, 521 violent illegals have been arrested, of which around 132 have said members of the “international terrorist gang” have been identified.
“When President Trump came in, he said he would secure the border, and that’s exactly what he did,” Youngkin explained. “We’ve seen a 95% drop at illegal border intersections, but now we’re making bad purchases.”
“And these violent and illegal immigrants need to be arrested. They are causing extraordinary confusion, and this is their chance to work together. – The federal government and – In this way, I think it’s a national model for rounding up and arresting so many bad guys over a sustained period,” he added.
FBI Director Kash Patel praised Yonkin’s appearance and argued that efforts in Virginia demonstrated “how to make America safer.”
“This is an interagency task force built to help local Virginia officials better coordinate with federal agencies on immigration enforcement and fighting organized crime across borders,” Patel wrote X. “They were great partners.
“This should be a national state model for how to tackle organized crime and defeat violent gangs like MS-13,” the FBI chief wrote.
Youngkin also took a minute to compare Virginia’s success with the absurdity of state officials defending Maryland gang members.
“We’re using this long period of time to rewind these. [gang] The network that goes to find the next group of these illegal, violent criminals is allowing us to continue to gather over 500 people in the future,” he said, adding, “and I think it’s very important to compare what’s going on in Virginia to what you’re doing in other states like Maryland, where you’re actually watching people standing for someone who’s actually holding back for someone who’s actually being protected.”
Youngkin hints at the efforts of Maryland Sen. Chris Van Holland. Chris Van Holland actually flew to El Salvador to free his wife Beater and MS-13 gang member Kilmer Abrego Garcia from prison and return him to the United States.
