A urine “serial cat killer” was arrested in California after being caught in the video, police said.
Alejandro Acosta Oliveros, 45, was arrested by Santa Ana Police on Wednesday after sharing footage of a hooded suspect snatching a cat between two cars.
The arrest followed “multiple disturbing reports with alleged abuse and murder of cats,” officers said, but without elaborating on exactly how many pets were involved.

Oliveros was “actively identified by several victims and witnesses,” police officers charged him after finding evidence of the crime at his home, the department said without detailing what was found.
Neighbors in the Orange County area had been posting about their missing cat on local social media sites for weeks.
“We looked at the camera. This guy grabbed a cat from the neighborhood. He tied his legs and looked like he took him around 5pm.”
Another post read: “My neighbor’s cat was killed by a man who injected some substance.”
According to the KTLA, in one ominous case of neighbouring Westminster, the killer stolen Clubber, a 10-month-old Bengal Links cat from outside the home on March 21st.
Surveillance footage was shown by a man at the end of Koleu’s driveway, which was likely to try and lure the kitten with food, Westminster police said. He then picked up the cat and escaped to a white pickup truck.
Officers said a few days later, Clubber was at Santa Ana’s home and received hints that he had returned the unharmed cat to its owner.
Oliveros was booked at Santa Ana Prison on felony animal cruelty charges.
