Bill Maher responded to Larry David’s satirical essay in The New York Times, comparing dinner with Donald Trump to meals with Adolf Hitler.
A past Trump voice critic, Maher had dinner on March 31 with a group of his well-known supporters, including mutual friend Kid Rock. In a real-time episode of his Talkshow show on April 11, Maher described Trump as “graceful” and “a much more self-aware than he would allow,” saying, “All I didn’t like about him, I swore to God – at least I was away with this guy this night.”
It was later released by the New York Times Satire work Written by Curb Your Everism Creator. This is a first-person explanation from Hitler’s critics who accept a dinner invitation from Führer and decide that “In the end, we’re not that different.”
“I was a critic of his voice on the radio from the start and almost predicted everything he was trying to do on the path to dictatorship,” David wrote.
“But in the end I concluded that hatred would not go anywhere on us. I knew that I could not change his view, but even if it invades and annexes other countries and commits an unspeakable crime against humanity, we must speak to the other side.”
Maher appeared on Piers Morgan’s Talkshow, uncensored: “First, we will sham six million dead Jews. The arguments we lost just to start.
Margan told Morgan that he considered David a friend and he didn’t know about the film until his spokesperson told him that it had been published. “This was not my favorite moment of our friendship,” he said.
“It’s more difficult and less visionary about Donald Trump than I do about him. There’s no need to lecture about who Donald Trump is. The fact that I met him didn’t change that.
Maher told Morgan, “I don’t want this to be constantly personal with me and Larry,” and “we might become friends again.”
“I can take shots and take it when people don’t agree with me. That’s not the way I did it.
“Ironically, let’s go back to my original work. There has to be a better way to throw insults and not talk to people. If you can talk to Trump, you can talk to Larry David.”
