Lakewood Ranch, Florida. -American heroes risked swimming with the help of American domestic birds and faced potential crocodiles in the process.
Doug Hay He spoke to Fox 13 Tampa Bay. On April 19th, he heard him splattered into the lake behind Lakewood Ranch in Florida. He and his wife went to investigate the noise and saw the bald eagle in the center of the lake.
Hay believes that two Eagles are seriously injured and are fighting when they end up at the lake.
Seeing Eagle was in trouble, Hay jumped into the lake and began swimming towards it.
Hay told Fox 13 that Eagle had landed “Smack in the middle” of the 100-yard lake, and he also knew that a seven-foot crocodile lives in the water.
According to National Eagle Centerbald eagles can use their wings to swim like oars when they catch fish that are too heavy to lift. However, it is unclear whether the eagle was injured and far from the middle of the lake.
Hey arrived at me and it grabbed her arm on the turn. Hay, 69, said he was very tired, so the pair “barely made it on shore.” Hey’s wife receives an incredible rescue on camera.
In a follow-up video, Hay shows her eagle on the shore and says she hopes it will take off. A while later, when it was revealed that I had been injured, he notified the wildlife rescue.
The Wildlife Center in Southwest Florida, Venice, is currently in care of the eagle. This is recovering from a “extensive” wound to the chest cavity.
Hay also said that he suffered a wound to the arm from an eagle’s claws, but he would do it again to save the “American symbol.”
