A Wisconsin judge said Saturday that she could not hold court without professional support after arresting a fellow judge on Friday, where the Federal Bureau of Investigation allegedly blocked immigrant arrests, Wisconsin reported.
Sawyer County Circuit Court judge Monica Isam has expressed her opposition to state judges across Wisconsin to the arrest of Milwaukee County Circuit Court. It has been reportedshare what it described as a screenshot of Isamu’s email to the judges. Isamu also requested support.
“Yesterday, Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan took the oath of the very building she vowed to support it, and she was arrested for it and charged with a felony.
“I am not going to allow anyone to be taken by the ice from my court and sent to concentration camps, especially as is required by both the constitution we have pledged to support. Should I start collecting bail?” the email continued.
“If we don’t have guidance for us and we don’t have support for us, I refuse to hold a courthouse at Branch 2 in Sawyer County. I won’t put my staff members who may feel compelled to put me or my community at harm,” she said in an email.

The email author was elected as the first woman, the first Native American and the first minority to serve as Sawyer County Circuit Court Judge,” according to the screenshots.
The email author adds, claiming she had endured workplace discrimination since January 20th and cited Dugan’s arrest:
“If we have no guidance for us and no support for us, I will refuse to hold a courthouse at Branch 2 in Sawyer County. [sic] method. “

Dugan was hosting the April 18 criminal case, including Mexican illegal immigrant Eduardo Flores Luis, accused of domestic violence, when FBI and Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents appeared in court after the hearing to arrest Flores Luis. Court documents Shared by CNN.
“[V]Dugan says the situation is “absurd.”
Dugan is allegedly escorted the defendant and his attorney through the “door of the ju court” that went to a private area of the court where no arrests were made, the documents said. (Related: “non-partisan” judge bound by liberal activities that allegedly helped immigrants avoid ice arrests)
Prosecutors in the case that had been waiting for Flores Lewis to be called later learned that Flores Lewis’ case had been postponed, the FBI said.
According to court documents, the agent found Flores Lewis, just outside the courthouse, and arrested him shortly after he left them and bolted them.
Dugan faces two charges of blocking the arrest of immigrants and hiding the suspect, documents revealed.
