The White House celebrated President Donald Trump’s first 100 days inauguration on Monday by highlighting his efforts to combat illegal immigration.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officer Tom Homan joined White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt during an early morning briefing on Monday. The pair touted a significant reduction in border crossings and a new executive order aimed at deportation and further enforcement of borders.
“We are in the process of running the biggest deportation campaign in American history,” Leavitt said. “After four years of slander by the Biden Harris administration, our heroic ice officers can ultimately do their job.”
Homan joined Levitt and accused the Biden administration of “deliberately not protecting the border” despite gaining a very safe border from the first Trump administration.

The ongoing tide wave of the administration is the largest deportation operation in American history, the pair said. Leavitt added that it was just the beginning and a “sign of what’s going forward.”
The Trump administration said in early April that it had already deported 100,000 illegal immigrants, but authorities did not provide a new total in Monday’s briefing.
