On CNN's “AC360” aired Wednesday, Rep. Dangoldman (D-NY) responded to reports that the White House was talking to Libya and Rwanda about deporting immigrants with criminal records there, stating that it was “a demonization of immigrants.” But “No one thinks that a convicted criminal who has no documents and is not a citizen should remain in this country.”
Host Anderson Cooper asked, “What is your reaction to the new CNN reporting that the White House has approached Libya and Rwanda about deporting immigrants with criminal history to Libya and Rwanda to those countries?”
Goldman said, “Look, it's the same. It's just the same. It's the devil of immigrants. There's a process. I think convicted criminals who don't have documents and are not citizens should stay in this country because they don't like it.
