Justin Tucker Released by Ravens Amid Misconduct Allegations
A significant development has occurred in the NFL world. Justin Tucker, the veteran kicker for the Baltimore Ravens, has been released by the team, which describes this move as a “sound decision.”
During the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Ravens selected Tyler Loop, a kicker from Arizona, following a challenging season for Tucker amidst allegations of sexual misconduct.
The allegations involve suspicions from 16 massage therapists across eight different wellness centers and spas in Baltimore, with claims dating back to 2012-2016. The 35-year-old kicker has strongly denied the charges, labeling them as “explicitly false” in a statement on social media.
In a statement released on Monday, Eric DeCosta, the Ravens’ executive vice president and general manager, said, “Making decisions about football can be very difficult, and this is one example of that. We have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker given our current roster.” He added, “Justin has created many important and unforgettable moments in the history of the Ravens. His reliability, focus, drive, resilience, and extraordinary talent have made him one of the best kickers in the league for over a decade. We are grateful for the many contributions of Justin playing for the Ravens.”
It seems like many expected this decision, especially after the recent draft.
