Morgan Warren Skips ACM Awards for Golfing with Tom Brady

Instead of attending the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, Morgan Warren chose to hit the golf course with Tom Brady on May 8th.

The country music star, who received nominations in seven categories— including Entertainer of the Year— expressed a lighthearted attitude towards the awards. Just before the ACM awards ceremony began, he shared a snapshot of their golfing outing, indicating that the evening’s events weren’t really on his mind.

In an Instagram story, Warren casually mentioned, “There was a bit of mustard,” hinting at an enjoyable day. It seems he fully embraced the sun and fun over the usual formalities of an awards night. This isn’t the first time he’s opted for leisure over accolades; he also skipped the 2025 Grammy Awards and the 2024 Country Music Awards, despite being nominated at both events. Interestingly, he won the Entertainer of the Year award at the CMA, but didn’t attend to collect it.

The ACM Awards were held at Starr’s Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, where Warren was nominated for additional accolades such as Single of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist Songwriter of the Year.

Though Warren’s reasons for skipping the awards remain unclear, it appears he’s thriving without them. He is gearing up for the release of his upcoming project, “I’m The Problem,” set to drop on May 16th, and has teased collaborations with artists like Malone, Eric Church, and Tate McRae.

Furthermore, Warren plans to embark on a stadium tour that includes stops in Seattle, Cleveland, Toronto, and Miami Gardens, with fellow artists like Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett joining in on the excitement.
