Senator Comments on Trump’s Influence

During a recent appearance on News Nation’s “Cuomo,” Senator Ami Bella (D-CA) criticized President Donald Trump, describing him as “the master of deception” who is pulling the nation into culture wars. She emphasized that, while the aim is to promote equality, the discussion surrounding gender-neutral bathrooms currently isn’t a triumph for Democrats.

Bella remarked, “If we oppose Trump, we’re unlikely to succeed in the upcoming election. We need to communicate our actions clearly and avoid being drawn into this culture war.” She further explained that after Democrats focus on supporting the middle class and fulfilling their commitments, it’s essential to engage the public. However, she noted that Trump often diverts attention to polarizing issues like gender-neutral bathrooms, which she doesn’t see as a necessary victory. “We advocate for equality for all and don’t want anyone to feel ostracized. That’s fundamental for us, yet it doesn’t translate into an immediate victory,” she added.
