Bill Maher warns Democrats are ‘doomed’ if they don’t address young radicals.

Bill Maher Critiques Young Democrats’ Stance on Israel

On his HBO show “Real Time,” host Bill Maher voiced strong criticism of younger Democrats for their failure to denounce radical Islamic terrorism while they support anti-Israel demonstrations. He warned that if this trend continues, the party may be headed for trouble.

During his closing monologue on Friday, Maher suggested that the party shows more sympathy for the Palestinian cause than for the United States itself. “If the ideological leaders of the Democratic Party keep encouraging this narrative without holding those accountable in Gaza, then the Democrats are destined for failure,” he stated.

Maher opened up the segment by highlighting how young Democrats seem proud of their country, contrasting that with survey results showing some feel embarrassed. He quipped, “Are you embarrassed to be American? What do you think?”

He also expressed his displeasure with Israel, suggesting that this sentiment resonates strongly with younger liberals. “The Democratic dilemma lies in the fact that their younger supporters don’t seem to appreciate their own society,” he observed. “I think some view Hamas as a liberation movement, chanting for causes that aren’t exactly in their best interest.”

Commenting on imagery of Islamic women in full-body coverings, Maher remarked, “Someone ought to explain to them that women’s rights are essentially non-existent in such places, there’s no religious freedom, and dissent can lead to severe punishment.” He insisted, “Even if our democracy feels fragile, we still have elections to participate in.”

Maher went on to challenge young Democrats, suggesting their actions resemble “globalizing the intifadas” and “cosplaying as Islamic revolutionaries” as a misguided solution to their problems. He sighed as he recalled moments when Palestinian flags were placed over American flags at recent events involving politicians like Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Maher expressed disappointment that no one intervened to clarify that such actions do not represent freedom. He criticized liberals—especially those who identify as “woke”—for adopting ideas he deemed absurd, saying they even embraced notions like men being able to become pregnant.
