Denver Nuggets Game Highlights and Mother’s Day Moments
In Game 4 of the Western Conference Semi-Final Series on Sunday, the spotlight was on Lisa Brown, mother of Nuggets guard Christian Brown.
ESPN captured Lisa’s reactions as her son made several impressive plays throughout the game.
During the broadcast, commentator Mark Jones took a moment to recognize the mothers of OKC players, Jalen Williams and Isaiah Joe, celebrating their contributions with cheers for Mother’s Day.
The crowd at the ball arena erupted as Lisa witnessed her son execute a strong defensive play, blocking a shot in the second quarter. “Joe was blocked by Brown,” Jones remarked, highlighting the moment.
Social media buzzed with mentions of Lisa, many recalling her accolades from her time at Missouri in the 1980s. Others noted how often the camera focused on her during the game.
One user remarked, “One of these camera guys absolutely loves Christian Brown’s mom…” on X.
Lisa, who was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2019 alongside her six brothers, had an impressive college career. She earned three-state selections at Mizzou, ranking third in the program for blocked shots and tenth in rebounds.
She was also a two-time All-Big 8 Conference selection and played for the WNBA’s St. Louis River Queens.
All three mothers captured during the game showcased their beauty and emotions, clearly invested in their sons’ performances.
The game concluded with the Thunder tying the series 2-2 after defeating the Nuggets 92-87 in Denver. Christian Brown contributed with 17 points, three steals, and one block, though it wasn’t enough to secure a win.
Looking ahead, Game 5 is scheduled to take place in Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
