The Seattle Seahawks came incredibly close to clinching a playoff spot last season.
To recap, Mike McDonald’s team ended the year with a 10-7 record, matching that of the NFC West leaders, the Los Angeles Rams. If that wasn’t bad enough, Seattle also split their games with LA.
However, tiebreaker rules—especially the “strength of victory”—meant Matthew Stafford’s team advanced, leaving the Seahawks on the sidelines.
This prompted the Seahawks to take action during the offseason.
In recent months, general manager John Schneider has brought in Pro Bowl quarterback Sam Darnold, along with standout wide receiver Cooper, veteran Marques Valdez Scantling, and enduring Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.
They’ve kept beloved players like Geno Smith, DK Metcalf, and Tyler Lockett as well.
Now, with the unveiling of the 2025 schedule, we can see how the Seahawks might make a playoff push this year.
For success, they’ll have crucial home games against divisional foes like the San Francisco 49ers (September 7) and Los Angeles Rams (December 18), as well as formidable opponents including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (October 5), Houston Texans (October 20), and the impressive Minnesota Vikings (November 30).
If you’re part of “The 12” and want to catch the action live, tickets for all eight home games at Lumen Field are available now.
