UAE Honors Trump with Highest Civilian Award
President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE presented Donald Trump with the Zayed award on Thursday, recognizing him with the country’s highest civilian honor.
This award was conferred on Trump for his “exceptional effort to strengthen long-standing relationships” between the two nations, emphasizing their friendship and strategic partnership.
“This partnership has taken quite a leap since you took office,” Al Nahyan remarked to Trump during the announcement of the honor.
Moreover, Al Nahyan highlighted the UAE’s commitment to invest $1.4 trillion in the US over the coming decade as evidence of the significant advancements made under Trump’s leadership in sectors like the economy, energy, and artificial intelligence.
“We want to continue to deepen this friendship for the benefit of both our nation and our people,” he stated.
Trump expressed gratitude toward Al Nahyan, describing him as a “great warrior” and a “visual man like few others.” He asserted that there was “absolutely no doubt” about the improving relations between the UAE and the United States.
The former President talked about the US being a “very hot country” since he took office, sharing successes such as record enlistments, foreign investment in US businesses, and even mentioning the hundreds of thousands of eggs purchased for the White House Easter Egg Roll.
Trump commented that his administration is “a lot ahead of schedule” and stated he would have been very pleased with these outcomes if someone had projected them a year or year and a half earlier.
This award was presented during Trump’s Middle East tour, which included visits to Qatar and Saudi Arabia, where he engaged with various world leaders.
