Donald Trump has announced that a nuclear deal proposal has been forwarded to Iran.
He commented, “Yeah, they have suggestions, but I think more crucially, they understand they need to act fast or face consequences. Something bad could happen.”
Reportedly, this proposal emerged amid the fourth round of discussions between Iran and the U.S.
President Trump indicated on Friday that the U.S. had given Iran a nuclear deal proposal. He reiterated, “Yeah, they have suggestions, but again, it’s essential they move quickly to avoid something bad.”
Sources spoke to Axios, stating that the Trump administration presented a nuclear deal proposal during the fourth negotiation round last Sunday. However, a senior official from Iran claimed that Tehran had not received any new proposals from the U.S. in the longstanding nuclear dispute, emphasizing that Iran would not relent on its right to enrich uranium domestically.
Both nations express a preference for diplomacy to address conflicts, yet the negotiations reveal persistent divisions with clear boundaries that negotiators must respect to prevent potential military escalations.
Trump aims for peace.
