Former Biden Campaign Representative Discusses His Views on Biden’s Fitness
During a recent appearance on the Fox News Channel’s “Story,” former Biden Campaign Representative Kanna (D-CA) acknowledged that he lacked the comprehensive perspective needed to fully assure Joe Biden’s fitness for office at the time.
Kanna mentioned having met Biden on a couple of occasions, particularly at public events. He noted, “I met him several times at public events. He seemed fine. But, of course, I didn’t see the bigger picture.” Kanna emphasized that given the accountability at play, he believes Biden shouldn’t pursue another run for the presidency, stating, “We know all the facts.”
Reflecting on his observations, Kanna said, “I watched him on TV like everyone else, and he appeared to be in control, capable even. From my brief encounters, he looked entirely fine. However, there were others who recognized his decline, and I understand it’s not right to run.”
Host Martha McCallum pointed out the significant decisions made regarding Afghanistan and ongoing national security matters. In response, Kanna addressed the complexity of the situation, noting, “I think there are two different questions here: whether he should run and whether he could actually perform the job. While I haven’t read everything out there, it seems to me he may not be able to run effectively.”
