Rudy Gobert, the center for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has reportedly ended his relationship with girlfriend Julia Bonilla, who is said to be pregnant. This split occurred just before they were set to compete in the team’s Western Conference Finals.
Gobert and Bonilla share children, and she had been seen attending a Timberwolves game on April 13th. According to sources, Bonilla has shown noticeable changes following the news of her pregnancy. After the reports surfaced, both parties made statements regarding their breakup.
Bonilla expressed deep emotional pain, describing it as one of the hardest times of her life. In an Instagram post, she reflected on their relationship, stating, “I thought of Rudy as the love of my life. I left everything for him.” She mentioned always standing by him, despite the public criticism he faced.
Following Bonilla’s comments, Gobert addressed what he referred to as “inaccurate information.” He acknowledged the challenging process of redefining their relationship, emphasizing his commitment to be a supportive father and respecting their privacy during this time.
Meanwhile, Bonilla is reportedly considering a return to France, but Gobert hopes she will choose to remain in the U.S. to ensure a positive situation for their child after the Timberwolves’ season concludes.
The Timberwolves are currently in the playoff race, awaiting the outcome of the series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Nuggets.
