Elon Musk’s Claims About Trump Stir Surprises on Joe Rogan’s Podcast
Podcaster Joe Rogan was taken aback by Elon Musk’s recent allegations regarding President Donald Trump during a Thursday episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.” Musk made a sensational claim on social media, suggesting Trump appeared in Jeffrey Epstein’s documents, following a series of exchanges with the president. This revelation came amid Musk’s broader criticism of Trump and Republican leaders concerning the contentious “big beautiful bill.”
In a recording featuring FBI Director Kash Patel, Rogan paused their live discussion to address Musk’s tweet. He read it aloud, which stated, “The time really big bombshell Donald Trump drops the time in Epstein’s files, that’s the real reason they’re not public, have a good day.” Rogan’s initial reaction was one of disbelief as he exclaimed, “Jesus Christ.”
Patel, however, distanced himself from the matter, stating, “I’m not involved in that conversation.” Rogan continued, expressing his astonishment at Musk’s remarks: “Someone should take his phone off… That’s a crazy thing to say. How does he know? Does he have access to the Epstein Files?”
Patel replied, uncertain about the implications for Musk. Rogan shared concerns about the effects of Musk’s online presence, saying, “I think it’s bad for you to be public all day long and discuss with people all day long.”
In response to Musk’s tweets, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt described the situation as unfortunate, attributing Musk’s dissent to discontent over the big beautiful bill’s content. “The President is focusing on passing this historic law and making our country great again,” Leavitt said.
Sources from the White House mentioned that it’s widely known Trump had ejected Epstein from his Palm Beach golf club, and they pointed out Musk’s claims weren’t particularly new. A source succinctly questioned Musk’s logic: “If Elon really thought that the president was more deeply involved with Epstein, why did he date him for six months and say, ‘I love him as much as a straight guy can love a straight guy’?”
After Musk’s assertions, Trump issued a statement expressing disappointment over Musk’s recent comments. “I don’t care if Elon opposes me, but he should have done that a few months ago.” Trump emphasized the importance of the bill, calling it a significant legislative effort that could prevent a substantial tax increase, saying, “This puts our country on the path of greatness. Make America great again!”
