Cher’s son, Elijah Bleu Allman, was hospitalized due to erratic behavior. The 48-year-old was taken to a San Bernardino County hospital after authorities received a report regarding his conduct. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call at a residence in Landers for males behaving strangely. When they arrived, they found Elijah being evaluated by an emergency medical professional. During their investigation, drugs were discovered in the home, which led to his hospitalization. An inquiry is currently ongoing.
When Fox News Digital reached out, Cher’s representatives could not provide further information. Elijah’s estranged wife, Mariengela Orman, indicated that despite the circumstances, he remains committed to managing his struggles. She noted, “Elijah has faced personal challenges in the past, but his dedication to those he loves has never wavered.” Mariengela added that while he continues to grapple with his issues, it’s important to see his journey from a place of strength rather than defeat.
She emphasized her ongoing support, stating, “I would like to express my unwavering commitment to him,” and that her backing comes from a deep respect for who he is and who he is becoming. Cher and Greg Allman married in 1975, shortly after Cher’s previous marriage to Sonny Bono. Their marriage was fraught with difficulties, and Cher filed for divorce just nine days after they wed but later withdrew the petition.
The couple collaborated on a duet album titled “Allman and Woman” and welcomed one child, Elijah Bleu. Cher sought legal separation in 1977 after a rocky marriage. In his memoir, Greg admitted to years of indulgence in alcohol and drugs before finding sobriety in the mid-1990s. He described feeling rejuvenated at age 50 after overcoming his struggles.
Gregg Allman, a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, passed away in 2017 at the age of 69 after battling health issues, including liver damage from hepatitis C, which required a transplant in 2010.
