Conflict Will Continue Until Missile and Nuclear Dangers Are Eliminated

Israel’s Stance on Iran Operations

Israel will continue its military efforts against Iran until the regime’s ballistic missile capabilities and nuclear facilities are destroyed, stated General Odedo Basiuk, Operations Director of the Israeli Defence Force (IDF), on Tuesday.

During a discussion about the G7 conference, which President Trump left early, Basiuk mentioned that there had been some speculation about a potential ceasefire between Israel and Iran. He had reportedly engaged with mediators to explore the possibility of ending the conflict.

This response indicates that Israel’s stance on negotiations is shifting. The recent missile attacks have disrupted daily life in Israel and underscored the risks posed by nuclear-armed missiles.

As part of its military operations, Israel has reportedly destroyed around 200 of the estimated 360 missile launchers in Iran, which has somewhat alleviated pressure at home. Israel currently maintains operational freedom in Iranian airspace.

Reports indicate that the IDF views this operation as ongoing, with no end in sight. The ultimate aim is to eliminate the “existential threat” posed by Iran’s nuclear initiatives and missile systems. Basiuk remarked, “We target the regime that causes us harm, not the ordinary citizens who deserve peace.”

The military has committed to continuing attacks on nuclear sites and related targets, which may include nuclear scientists. They are also focusing on missile capabilities, air defense systems, military command centers, and other key assets tied to the Iranian leadership.

Meanwhile, Trump made it clear that he seeks not just a temporary ceasefire but a definitive end to Iran’s nuclear ambitions, stating that Iran is aware of how to reach out to him.
