Reza Pahlavi, the exiled crown prince of Iran and son of the last Shah, called on Iranians to unite against the challenges posed by Israel and prepare for the likely collapse of the Islamic Republic under Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Pahlavi stated on social media, “The Islamic Republic is nearing its end and is collapsing.” He described Khamenei as a “frightened rat” hiding underground, losing control.
“What has begun cannot be reversed. The future looks promising. Together, we will navigate this turning point in our history,” he continued.
The military tensions between Iran and Israel intensified on Tuesday, with little sign of abating, as Israel targeted Iranian nuclear ambitions.
President Trump recently concluded a summit with Canadian leaders and met with security advisors on Tuesday to review the situation.
He has left open the possibility of U.S. military involvement.
The Pahlavi dynasty ruled Iran from 1925 until its overthrow during the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Pahlavi posted messages in both English and Persian to reach out to his supporters and urged them to rise against the regime.
“Now is the time to take a stand and reclaim Iran,” he said. “Let’s move forward… and bring this regime to an end.”
He indicated plans for establishing a democratic government in Iran within 100 days following the regime’s downfall.
Moreover, he called on military personnel, law enforcement, security forces, and state employees to join in efforts to dismantle Khamenei’s government.
“Do not oppose the Iranian people during this inevitable regime shift,” Pahlavi advised. “Avoid sacrificing yourself for a corrupt system.”
“Aligning with the people will ensure your safety. Contribute to this historic transition from the Islamic Republic and help build a new future for Iran,” he added.
