My Dad Seeks Peace but Will Not Hesitate to Fight Off Enemies

Trump’s Stance on Peace and Military Power

President Donald Trump is characterized as a “man of peace” and someone who is “true to his word.” He emphasizes that he won’t allow nations like Iran to develop weapons that could threaten the United States.

During a recent event commemorating the tenth anniversary of Trump’s initial presidential campaign, Eric Trump stated that his father has consistently sought to avoid war, but has made it clear that any provocation against the U.S. would lead to swift retaliation.

Eric shared his father’s views, noting, “My dad always said he didn’t want to go to war. I want peace on earth. I’m tired of seeing young men and women, innocent civilians, suffer.” He believes this approach stems from a genuine concern for lives lost in conflicts. However, he reiterated the importance of a strong military presence, saying, “If we have to use it, we’re going to end it quickly.” This, he mentioned, is a definitive stance.

While Eric underscored his father’s desire for peace, he also noted the necessity of military strength to prevent adversaries from acquiring dangerous weapons. He expressed confidence in his father’s resolve, insisting, “Trust me, he certainly would do that.” He hopes that international audiences grasp these sentiments, as they’ve been expressed for years. “Iran didn’t want to hear that,” he remarked, referring to prior comments made by Trump.

Reflecting on past events, Eric recounted warnings issued by his father to Iran, which he believes were justified. Trump’s stance has always leaned toward achieving peace and mitigating unnecessary complexity in the Middle East, criticizing the vast resources spent on prolonged engagements.

Eric stated, “He was against Afghanistan. He was against Iraq,” citing the tragic loss of young lives and the financial drain that could otherwise benefit domestic priorities. Sean Hannity also praised Trump’s foreign policy, highlighting the focus on preventing nuclear proliferation, particularly concerning Iran.

Echoing this, Eric referred to his father as a respected figure in the Middle East, acknowledging Trump’s strength-driven approach to fostering peace. In addressing how Trump would respond to rocket attacks from hostile nations, Eric made it clear that such actions would trigger decisive military action.

He likened potential responses to an immediate and overwhelming force against threats, asserting, “If Mexico fires a rocket into the U.S., they’ll be dealt with swiftly.” He maintained that most Americans would not support violent aggression, a sentiment that aligns with his father’s beliefs.

Eric further expressed his father’s vision for global stability, rejecting the influence of the military-industrial complex. He shared his personal perspective on the human cost of war, highlighting the pain of lost potential. “I have an incredible son and daughter… their lives are wiped out like that,” he lamented.

This conversation coincides with the ten-year anniversary of Trump’s entrance into the political arena, marking a significant shift in not only Republican but also American foreign policy. “He changed the trajectory of America forever,” Eric said, proudly reflecting on his father’s journey and the principles he advocates.

Moreover, he reiterated Trump’s commitment to safeguarding the U.S. and prioritizing American interests. However, he acknowledged the complexity surrounding the administration’s considerations for military action, especially regarding the Islamic regime’s history of terrorism, nuclear ambitions, and direct threats to allies.
