Stephen A Smith claims that he and LeBron James have mutual dislike for each other.

The ongoing tension between LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith seems to have lasting implications.

This all began after a Lakers game with the Knicks in March. Smith referred to a surprising encounter, wherein James voiced his concerns about comments Smith made regarding his son, Bronny.

Smith had criticized how the Lakers were involving Bronny and addressing aspects of LeBron’s situation. Yet, in his “First Take” segment on Wednesday, Smith suggested that the situation was more complex than just that incident.

“I really don’t have much to say about it,” he remarked. “Truth is, we just don’t like each other. He tried to twist things, using his son as a shield. My feelings toward him don’t affect my analysis, though—he’s one of the best I’ve seen play. I respect him, I really do.”

Smith acknowledged his admiration for James’s talent and made it clear that he applauds his achievements. He believes it’s essential to maintain objectivity despite personal feelings.

Reflecting on the interaction, Smith pointed out that it felt like more than just a surface-level disagreement. He expressed willingness to have a private chat with James if desired, stating that “he knows how to reach out to me.”

Moreover, Smith emphasized that any such conversation would involve a respectful approach toward Bronny, particularly as he navigates his initial phase in both the NBA and G-League.
