Theo Von discusses his views on US military involvement in Iran

Theo Von speaking out against US military action in Iran

Comedian and podcast host Theo Von recently discussed his thoughts on the Israeli-Iranian conflict, expressing confusion over America’s involvement in the region.

During a recent episode of his podcast, he mentioned, “It seems like Israel is trying to provoke the U.S. into a war with Iran.”

Von was quite critical of Israeli leadership, particularly Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “I have no trust in him at all,” he said. “I don’t believe what he says, and I don’t think our soldiers should bear the burden of their actions.”

Admitting he’s not a soldier, he added, “I’m not brave enough to serve, but this is just how I feel.”

He questioned the rationale behind increasing U.S. military involvement abroad, pondering when it might be appropriate to do so.

“So, when are we even going to discuss this? It seems like they’re trying to push for something. Who’s making those decisions?” he asked.

There’s a division among Trump’s supporters regarding escalating involvement in Israel’s conflict with Iran, with traditional GOP hawks supporting military action while others aligned with MAGA values resist it.

Having had Trump as a guest on his podcast during the 2024 election, Von was influential in engaging young male voters with Republican candidates.

He expressed concern over Netanyahu, saying he finds him “really frightening” and called for a clearer explanation from the U.S. government regarding its support for Israel.

“I really don’t know why we back them. It puzzles me. After what happened in Gaza, I just don’t get it,” he explained. “People might say I lack information, and that could be true. Still, is it possible for me to share how I feel?”
