Democrats seem to lack a substantial agenda other than critiquing President Donald Trump. Dan Trenne, a former party adviser, is advocating for the party to openly back the president and suggest that Iran cooperate, rather than lurking in the background.

Trenne recently commented on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” noting, “Our party is divided in some ways, much like the Republicans are now. Unfortunately, we’re more focused on the ‘king’ instead of addressing Iran.” He added that this division has been a longstanding issue, particularly regarding the ongoing conflicts between Palestinians and Israelis, which he traced back to events in the late 20th century.

He emphasized the importance of supporting Trump, especially concerning the nuclear program in Iran. “If we are going to challenge their nuclear efforts, then it’s crucial for protecting America,” he asserted.

Trenne pointed out that currently, there’s no clear agenda for the party. It seems to be more about, well, what’s happening in real life and having effective leadership rather than focusing on constructive actions. He also reflected on the upcoming 2024 elections, expressing concern that the Democrats’ fixation on labeling Trump a “dictator” doesn’t resonate with voters.

At the same time, he suggested that the party’s failure to address key issues like the economy and immigration has left many voters dissatisfied. He mentioned this as a critical oversight, especially as they try to appeal to working-class individuals.

He remarked, “We [Democrats] don’t want to talk about these pressing matters,” and went on to illustrate that while there were protests against harsher immigration policies, there wasn’t a clear offer of solutions for the problems that really affect people’s lives.
