Wisconsin man filmed attacking driver's car with a stick during road rage incident

A driver in Wisconsin was caught on video attacking another vehicle during a road rage incident. The footage shows Mike Chartley, the man behind the wheel, exiting his car and smashing a window of a white Nissan with a stick on a busy Milwaukee freeway on Tuesday afternoon.

In a chaotic turn of events, the Nissan attempted to back away but then surged forward as Chartley seemingly tried to avoid being trapped by another car. The dramatic video captures the frenzy unfolding.

Despite the Nissan’s retreat, Chartley pursued the vehicle on foot, landing a few more hits before a collision between them occurred.

Chartley claims he didn’t initiate the confrontation. In an interview, he referred to himself as “the face of Road Rage” in Milwaukee. “I mean, he was driving like an idiot,” he remarked.

The incident reportedly escalated after another driver cut him off on the highway, nearly causing a crash. When traffic stopped, Chartley alleged that the other driver approached his window and hit him several times, resulting in a broken nose and requiring stitches.

He expressed frustration over how the situation escalated, saying, “He put my life in danger three times. When he hit me on the highway, when he punched me, and when he hit me with his car. It just didn’t make sense; I was really mad about it.”

Authorities later apprehended the Nissan driver, who is suspected of battery and was also cited for driving without insurance and registration. Chartley now faces potential charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, as his case has been forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
