Trump Celebrates Border Statistics With New Post
Donald Trump shared a post on Truth Social highlighting the June border statistics, claiming they represent “the most recorded figures in US history.” He emphasized that the Border Patrol, ICE, and CBP personnel perform admirably but require more support, particularly from Republicans, to maintain this level of security.
Trump stated, “Congratulations America! The June border statistics are in, marking the most recorded figures ever. The US Border Patrol reported zero releases of illegal immigrants. Customs and border security recorded just 25,243 ‘national encounters’ for the month. This is outstanding considering the Biden administration dealt with tens of thousands of encounters daily. Our borders are safe, and everyone knows it. It’s crucial we keep it this way. Republicans need to pass ‘one big beautiful bill.’ We still face a left-leaning judge attempting to open the borders and ignore the Supreme Court. It’s vital for Republicans to be smart and resolute to prevent these judges from turning the country into a third-world situation. The Border Patrol, ICE, and CBP do great work, but they need more assistance and rely on Republicans to achieve effective solutions!
Tom Homan, a prominent figure in border management, reported that total encounters for June 2025 reached 6,070, which is surprisingly low compared to daily figures from the Biden era.
Homan noted, “Concerns about the southern border in June were at an all-time low. The overall total encounters for June were 6,070, which is less than a day’s worth under Biden. This indicates a 15% decrease since March and is a dramatic drop from peak periods during the Biden administration, like December 2023, when about 11,000 encounters were recorded daily.”
Homan explained that there were only 8,039 concerns raised by border patrols nationwide—a number that is even lower than the record set in March. The first three days of June 2024 alone saw over 11,000 concerns, with 7,000 occurring on the southern border’s first two days.
He concluded, “The fact is that encounters now are less than half of Biden’s daily figures on multiple occasions. With 6,070 encounters, we have established some of the safest borders in US history. Immigrants continue to enrich our nation.”
Trump remains firm in his promises regarding border management.
