Video appears to show a protester seemingly firing at federal agents during an immigration operation at a California farm.

Footage from California reveals a violent confrontation between federal immigration agents and demonstrators, leading to the shooting of an agent.

The recording, captured by a news helicopter, depicts incidents involving protesters at a farm located on Laguna Road in Camarillo, as reported by KABC-TV.

“There are hundreds of people present.”

KABC noted that the shooter fired multiple rounds, although no injuries were reported from the incident.

Observers indicated that agents were detaining farm workers, prompting law enforcement to resort to tear gas.

Additional videos showed demonstrators hurling large stones at the officers’ vehicle.

One protester expressed discontent with the agents’ actions in an interview with KABC, stating, “We were simply voicing our concerns as American citizens, and instead, we were met with tear gas… I even got hit by paintballs, which is just not right. This is something we must address as a community.”

Viannie Lopez, the Ventura County District 5 supervisor, also provided a statement to KTLA-TV. She remarked, “The situation involves many people, and possibly undocumented individuals are being interrogated. I can’t confirm the exact number of people detained at this moment.”

She further mentioned reports of numerous immigrants being taken onto buses.

“There’s an ongoing situation, and we are deeply worried about the safety of those expressing anger and frustration over what’s happening to diligent workers in our community,” she added.

California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized the Trump administration, stating, “This inhumane approach to immigration has serious repercussions for hardworking families and communities, including those relying on farm labor across the nation. Rather than supporting the businesses and workers vital to our economy, Stephen Miller’s methods instigate chaos and fear in our communities.”

“Under Miller’s influence, Trump’s agents have continued to detain American citizens, categorize individuals based on race, tear families apart, and send hardworking parents to harsh federal detention facilities,” he remarked.

Camarillo is a city with around 70,000 residents located north of Los Angeles.
