Trump Responds to Epstein Case Questions
In a recent press interaction on the White House lawn, President Trump dismissed a reporter’s inquiry about his communications with Attorney General Pam Bondy regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case. When asked, Trump replied, “No, no,” displaying a somewhat indifferent demeanor.
He elaborated that Bondy had provided a straightforward briefing on the reliability of the information they received, suggesting, “I believe these files were fabricated by Comey and Obama, and later composed by the Biden administration. We’ve been through years of hoaxes involving Russia, and other challenges.”
Trump continued to express confidence in Bondy’s abilities, stating, “She handles it very well. Whatever she feels she can trust, she should release.”
In response to the questions about Trump’s earlier comments, Bondy introduced a memo stating, “No further disclosure is appropriate or guaranteed.” This memo also highlighted that Epstein had victimized over 1,000 individuals in the realm of sex trafficking, but it noted that the Department of Justice had not revealed any evidence indicating an investigation into uncharged third parties.
While discussing Epstein, it’s notable that he had connections with various high-profile figures, including Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, and Bill Clinton. Epstein, who once had a friendly relationship with Trump, died by suicide in prison in 2019.
Bondy mentioned that they would need to clarify whether Epstein had any ties with U.S. or foreign intelligence agencies. Her increasing media presence and comments have ignited frustration among many of Trump’s supporters and have brought to light internal conflicts with FBI leadership.
