Activists Against ICE Reach New Low — Border Patrol Dog Faced with Political Threat at Kennel in Minneapolis

Escalating Anti-ICE Sentiments in Minneapolis

Federal officials are reporting a troubling incident involving a kennel in Minneapolis, where messages opposing ICE targeted sniffer dogs used by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This marks a notable increase in anti-immigration enforcement hostility within the city.

According to federal sources, the inflammatory message was uncovered during a routine welfare check on a K-9 being temporarily housed at the facility for federal enforcement operations. Officials assert that this was not a random occurrence but rather a deliberate reflection of the rising anti-ICE sentiment, which has led to harassment directed at personnel, their equipment, and the animals they care for.

The message itself was found on the feed chart of CBP K-9 Dina. The reaction to this incident was swift and severe. For instance, journalist Nick Souter, who has experienced leftist threats, described the situation as deeply disturbing. Others, like producer Jack from Unheard News, expressed outrage, suggesting that the actions could lead to poisoning or harm against the dogs.

Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin recently spoke about the situation during an interview, highlighting concerns about “rogue employees” who are undermining federal law enforcement initiatives. She noted that one of the K-9s saw the words “ICE OUT” scrawled on its feeding chart, indicating direct aggression toward the animals.

McLaughlin emphasized the active discrimination faced by law enforcement, stating that they are in communication with various companies affected by these actions and plan to respond appropriately.

This targeting of Dina is part of a larger trend of hostility that has rapidly escalated alongside federal immigration enforcement efforts in Minneapolis. In recent weeks, ICE and Border Patrol agents have faced continuous harassment, vandalism, and obstruction aimed at disrupting their operations. Reports indicate agents being surrounded outside hotels, pursued in vehicles, and confronted while working.

DHS officials describe the growing environment as increasingly volatile, where anti-ICE activists have moved from verbal threats to physical confrontations and now extend their aggression to both equipment and animals that support federal initiatives.

The situation has escalated to alarming degrees, with Border Patrol Chief Gregory K. Bovino revealing that agents were assaulted 25 times over just four days. One of the instigators even used a metal fire extinguisher to spray an unidentified substance on an agent, raising concerns over whether it could have been harmful.

Federal officials warn that without controlling the rising hostility in Minneapolis, both operatives and their assets remain at risk. The targeting of Dina illustrates a concerning trend where agitators feel empowered to confront and harass federal representatives with minimal fear of repercussions.

As operations continue in the region, leaders highlight that the boundary between political protest and outright aggression has been crossed, making the safety of personnel in the field increasingly precarious with each new incident.
