Actor Dean Cain partners with ICE to back Trump's immigration enforcement

Dean Cain Joins ICE to Support Deportation Efforts

Actor Dean Cain has recently declared his affiliation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), aligning himself with President Trump’s deportation initiatives. This announcement, made on Tuesday, positions Cain, 59, who is best known for portraying Clark Kent in “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” as a supporter of what he calls a mission to “save America.”

In a social media video, Cain encouraged illegal immigrants to join ICE, which he described in a rather shocking recruitment style. He emphasizes his role as both a sworn law enforcement officer and a filmmaker, expressing a desire to contribute to the safety of Americans.

“For those who don’t know, I’m involved in law enforcement, and I think it’s vital to actively support our first responders,” he stated in a nearly two-minute video on X. He highlighted the significant number of arrests made by ICE since Trump took office, listing various serious crimes including terrorism, murder, and drug trafficking.

Cain went on to promote the agency’s efforts and financial incentives, noting a $50,000 signing bonus as part of a recent recruitment push announced by Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem.

Additionally, he pointed out that a university degree is not a requirement to join, which might attract more potential recruits. “You can start working right away,” he stated, encouraging people to consider this opportunity to help safeguard their communities.

Despite his enthusiasm, some commenters questioned Cain’s understanding of the recruitment specifics, pointing out that he is 22 years over the usual age limit for federal agencies. In response to these critics, Cain seemed to brush off the concerns, suggesting he might have changed that parameter.

Humorously, one user remarked, “Superman himself will be disappointed.” This kind of banter illustrates the mixed reactions to his announcement.

Currently, ICE is looking to recruit an additional 10,000 agents following the passage of Trump’s major funding bill. The agency is also offering various benefits, including student loan assistance and enhanced retirement options, aimed at encouraging new applicants.

Noem previously criticized the Biden administration for its immigration policies during a recruitment campaign announcement. She emphasized the importance of civilian skills in today’s context, urging potential recruits to step up and serve the country.
