The White House opens an artificial intelligence plan to Americans, provides policy ideas to the Trump administration, and ensures that the United States is an “undeniable leader” in AI technology.

The order directed the development of an AI action plan.
On Thursday, the White House's Office of Science and Technology Policy encouraged Americans to share policy ideas for the AI Action Plan by March 15th.
“The Trump administration is committed to ensuring that the United States is an undeniable leader in AI technology,” Lynn Parker, vice director of the Department of Science and Technology Policy, said in a statement. “This AI action plan is the first step towards ensuring and moving forward with America's AI advantage and we look forward to incorporating public comments and innovative ideas.”

Opinion: How Team Trump builds AI for American innovation
Authorities said the AI Action Plan “defines priority policy measures to strengthen America's position as an AI powerhouse and to prevent unnecessary burdensome requirements from hampering private sector innovation.”
“With appropriate government policies, US AI leadership will promote human prosperity, economic competitiveness and national security,” the White House said in a statement.
The Trump administration focused on AI on a presidential campaign promise, and after vowed to cancel former President Joe Biden's presidential order, he stumbled on AI innovation and said it would “not be able to do anything about AI development.” He said it imposed necessary government control. Under Trump's executive order, American AI must “relieve from ideological bias or designed social agenda.”
The order and focus on AI is nothing new to Trump.
During his first administration in 2019, Trump signed the first-ever executive order on artificial intelligence, signing for the importance of American leaders in space and for the economic and national security of the United States .
