Two people were identified on a turboprop aircraft as authorities investigated what had left survivors off the coast of Alaska's coast after a commuter plane carrying 10 people (nine passengers and pilots).
According to the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, Rhone Baumgartner and Kameron Hartvigson traveled to Unalakleet and boarded a flight to Gnome to serve the community's water plants.
The identity of the others killed in the crash has not yet been released.
Officials used a break in the weather on Saturday to “take Bering Air passengers and crew home today,” according to a Facebook post by the Norm Volunteer Fire Department.

The U.S. Coast Guard on Friday discovered the remains of a sea ice plane about 30 miles southeast of Gnome. It is later removed from the water by a Black Hawk helicopter.
Coast Guard officials confirmed that three bodies had been found on the aircraft but did not release their identity. All passengers were adults.
“The remaining seven are believed to be inside the aircraft, but are currently unable to access due to the condition of the aircraft,” USCG Alaska wrote in a social media post. “Our heartfelt sadness lies with those affected by this tragic incident.”
The Coast Guard determined that the severity of the wreckage exceeded the chances of survival, but announced that “items of interest” related to the search have been restored.

The Beringair commuter flight to Gnome disappeared about 12 miles offshore, according to the Coast Guard. Flights were scheduled regularly.
Data from Flightradar The Cessna 208b Grand Caravan Ex was last reported via Norton Sound on Thursday at 3:15pm.
The Coast Guard said data showed “rapid loss of elevation and rapid loss of speed” of the aircraft at 3:18pm on Thursday. However, authorities have not yet determined why it happened.

According to the AP, no messages or pain signals have been relayed.
According to Transport Secretary Sean Duffy, the Federal Aviation Administration provides Aviation Safety Administration accidents, accidents and prevention researchers.
He added that the Department of Transport will provide full support with an investigation into other ongoing plane crash falls.
