Gucci Heiress Launches New Handbag Supporting Melania Trump’s Initiative
Alexandra Gucci Zarrini, the heir to the Gucci name and founder of the purpose-driven luxury brand AGCF, has unveiled a new handbag just in time for Mother’s Day. This latest design is part of her support for First Lady Melania Trump’s “Developing the Future” initiative.
This handbag is a limited edition version of the “UNITY bag” that Zarrini released back in December 2025. The previous bag was the first to support the First Lady’s “Fostering the Future” initiative, which aims to provide scholarships and educational opportunities for children in foster care. Interestingly, that original bag sold out within a week.
The Mother’s Day edition not only commemorates this occasion but also directly supports the efforts of Fostering the Future, which focuses on funding scholarships for foster children. AGCF has committed to donating 20% of the proceeds from this UNITY bag to help nurture the next generation.
Zarrini feels strongly about empowering children, stating that protecting vulnerable kids is “an act of collective motherhood.” She expressed her perspective to FOX News Digital, saying, “Motherhood is one of the most powerful forces for good in the world.” This new edition is dedicated to all women who embrace motherhood in its many forms — whether through birth, choice, or nurturing from the heart.
“Some of us find our own mothers, and some of us become other people’s mothers,” she added. “And for some of us, out of love that had nowhere else to go, we learn that family is something you have to build for yourself.” It’s a sentiment that resonates deeply, I think.
The Mother’s Day UNITY bag features AGCF’s signature golden oval plate, which is hand-sewn on the inside and marked with a unique edition number, adding a layer of authenticity and future collectible value.
AGCF’s mission is rooted in the desire to protect and empower vulnerable children. Zarrini shared her thoughts, stating, “Giving back to protect and empower vulnerable children is the ultimate luxury. It’s at the core of our brand and why AGCF exists.” She’s determined to make a real difference.
In a recent interview, Zarrini praised the First Lady for her commitment to foster youth, commenting on how often they go unnoticed. She feels that Melania Trump’s vision for nurturing the future is inspiring and aligns with her brand’s values.
Earlier this year, Donald Trump and the First Lady signed an executive order aimed at improving educational and employment opportunities for youth leaving foster care. Additionally, in September 2025, Melania Trump launched “Fostering the Future Together,” a global initiative focusing on the well-being of children through education and innovation.
The UNITY bag communicates a message of hope, calling for a collective effort to uplift our children. It’s available for purchase on AGCF.com and at the AGCF Boutique in Beverly Hills, retailing for $2,800.
Zarini founded the AGCF and the Alexandra Gucci Children’s Foundation in 2020 to draw attention to child abuse issues. Her own traumatic childhood experiences have fueled her commitment to child protection, shaping a brand that strives for meaningful social change.
Overall, AGCF donates 20% of its profits toward child empowerment and protection causes while aiming to produce lasting and ethically crafted fashion pieces.
