‘America’s Had a ‘Kick Me’ Sign on Our Back Because of Joe Biden’s Weak Failed Presidency’

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, warned on Fox News Channel on Friday about what a second term for President Joe Biden could mean for the U.S. as Russia and China continue to expand their global influence.

The Arkansas Republican told FNC host Martha MacCallum that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are becoming more emboldened by Biden’s presidency.

“Martha, I think President Putin and President Xi Jinping would like Joe Biden to win because America has had a ‘kick me in the ass’ sign on its back for three and a half years because of Joe Biden’s weak and failed presidency,” he said. “I agree with what the former president just said, that if he had been president, the invasion of Ukraine would not have happened. But in some ways, I think he’s too humble.”

“Martha, we have a unique situation this year and he should be able to say that wasn’t the case when he was president,” Cotton continued. “For the first time in over a century, the American people have two presidents to choose from, so we don’t have to guess what a challenger might do if he takes the presidency. All we have to do is look back at what President Trump did while he was in office and remember those days. That’s why he’s leading now, because most Americans look back fondly on the peace, stability and prosperity we enjoyed during those years.”

He added: “In contrast, Vladimir Putin only seems to invade Ukraine when a Democrat is in office – first Barack Obama and now Joe Biden – exactly the same way Xi Jinping used the US during the Obama-Biden administration because it has neither the power nor the confidence to defend American interests.”
