Amy Schumer Shares Candid Mirror Selfie

Amy Schumer is certainly keeping it real. This week, the 44-year-old comedian posted a mirror selfie, proudly displaying her flat abs while wearing a sports bra and dark pants. She captioned the photo with a straightforward statement: “No filters, no fillers, no pretty mirrors.”

In the snapshot, taken in her bathroom, Schumer didn’t shy away from showcasing her toned tummy. This post follows several months where she has opened up about her health and fitness journey with followers.

Response to Transformation

This isn’t the first time Schumer has been open about her transformation. Earlier, she shared a stunning photo of herself in a black dress and heels at a Las Vegas concert, earning praise from both fans and fellow celebrities. “Okay, keep walking for days!!” commented Margaret Josephs from “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” while Isla Fisher chimed in with admiration for her legs.

In addition to that, earlier this summer, Schumer underwent a seaside makeover, sharing a picture on a yacht while sporting a black-and-white swimsuit that highlighted her fit physique.

Health Journey

Earlier this year, Schumer talked candidly about her health issues on “The Howard Stern Show.” She revealed that she has a gene, GDF15, which makes her susceptible to nausea. She tried using Ozempic, but it didn’t go well for her. “It left me bedridden,” she recounted, explaining that, while she lost weight, she struggled to function, questioning the value of looking great when she felt terrible.

Ozempic isn’t just known for treating type 2 diabetes; it’s increasingly being used off-label for weight loss. Schumer’s experience with this has added to the ongoing discussion surrounding such drugs.

Alternative Approaches to Health

In a shift from earlier treatments, Schumer recently praised Munjaro (also known as Tirzepatide) for its effectiveness in helping her manage her weight, which she mentioned in an Instagram video to her sizable follower base.

Additionally, she has started hormone therapy, noting improvements in her health. “They put me on estrogen and progesterone because they realized I was perimenopausal,” she shared, emphasizing the positive changes like fuller hair and more energy. “It’s been a great experience,” she added, indicating her desire to be transparent with her audience.
