The father of Anna Kepner, who was tragically killed on a cruise, is outraged over the release of Timothy Hudson, the 16-year-old relative charged with her sexual assault and murder. Christopher Kepner describes his stepson as a “dangerous person” who should be confined, insisting he should be in “an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs.”
In an interview with Daily Mail, Christopher expressed his anger that Hudson was still living with relatives, despite facing serious federal felony charges as an adult, which could lead to a life sentence.
“It’s been six months since this happened, and he should have been arrested by now. It’s infuriating that he can just roam free,” he said. “His family is now left powerless.”
“I just want him in custody. He shouldn’t be around the public, especially around kids and women,” Kepner added.
He described Hudson as a threat to both himself and others, emphasizing that “he’s a danger.”
Christopher added that Hudson has shown “no remorse” for the alleged assault and murder of Anna on November 6 in their cabin on the cruise ship. He reflected on Hudson’s claims of memory loss regarding the incident but noted that there has been no apology or sign of regret.
The charges against Hudson were upgraded recently, and he now faces life in prison for first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault, as announced by federal authorities. Anna’s body was found on the morning of November 7, concealed under a bed by a maid during the cleanup of their cabin on a Caribbean cruise.
In February, Hudson was the first juvenile charged with such a crime against his stepsister, and these more severe charges have emerged this week.
