A crowd of anti-Israel demonstrators waving Palestinian flags on the Upper East Side was filmed shouting and denouncing a lone protester proudly displaying an Israeli flag.

“Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you!” the crowd chanted.
The lone protester appeared unfazed and continued waving a small Israeli flag.

As the chants continued, a woman in the crowd called out to the man and almost covered him with a Palestinian flag. Another person in the crowd grabbed the flag and pushed him away, prompting cheers from other protesters.

The scene took place on the road from the Met Gala, where at least 100 anti-Israel agitators were marching near the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Demonstrators could be heard shouting anti-Israel slogans, calling for an “intifada” and taunting police officers.

Video footage taken at 80th Street and Madison Avenue shows officers taking people into custody. Another video shows police and protesters clashing on the sidewalk.

The NYPD does not currently have an information on the number of arrests made just blocks from the Met Gala.
A Fox News staff member at the protest said about 12 people were arrested.
