Arizona man Zarian Dyer hired someone to sexually assault his fiancée, but she managed to fend off the attacker, according to police.

A man from Arizona is accused of plotting an assault on his fiancée, allegedly hiring another individual to carry out the crime at their home. In a surprising twist, the fiancée, a mother of two, bravely fought off her attacker outside her home.

Zarian Dyer, at 23, was taken into custody on Thursday after authorities claimed he enlisted 20-year-old Adrian Ayala to assault his fiancée, as reported by local police.

The attack occurred on the evening of October 16, when Ayala arrived at the fiancée’s residence in Buckeye, located approximately 30 miles from Phoenix. At the time, she was at home with her two young children.

The fiancée reported to police that she saw a strange man peering through her front door only moments after Dyer left to run some errands. This was detailed in court records.

With her baby son resting in a bedroom and her daughter nearby, she confronted Ayala, who requested to use the bathroom.

According to her account, Ayala kicked down the door and intruded into her home, subsequently attacking her by choking her.

The altercation moved into the bathroom where Ayala locked himself in with her, reportedly attempting to unfasten her pants, though he was unsuccessful, and proceeded to grope her, as indicated in the court documents.

Ultimately, she managed to drag Ayala out of her home and into the yard.

Security footage from the home revealed the victim struggling to fend off Ayala in the driveway. She was seen pushing him away, slapping him, and yelling at him as he pressed against her.

During this, Ayala allegedly mentioned, “Your boyfriend told me you’d be into this,” according to the police records.

After the confrontation, the woman pursued Ayala down the street before the police arrived.

The following day, Ayala was apprehended at his home in Goodyear, about 15 miles from the scene. Investigators later learned that Dyer had supposedly orchestrated the attack.

Ayala stated he had met Dyer online and believed he was part of a consensual arrangement to assault the fiancée.

Detectives obtained Ayala’s electronics and found messages detailing the plot between him and Dyer.

As a result, Dyer faces charges including aggravated assault, sexual abuse, attempted sexual assault, kidnapping, and conspiracy.

Ayala has been charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse, burglary, and aggravated assault, according to court filings.

He made his initial court appearance on October 18.

Ayala’s lawyer argued in court that he was brought to the house for a “role-play scenario” and believed he had the woman’s consent, insisting there was no intent to commit a crime, as reported.

His trial is scheduled to begin on April 1, 2027. It’s unclear when Dyer will appear in court.

Authorities are still trying to uncover the reasons behind Dyer’s alleged decision to instigate this violent plan against his fiancée.
