Shapiro Criticizes Carlson for Hosting White Supremacist

Ben Shapiro launched into a passionate critique of Tucker Carlson, claiming that the ex-Fox News host is “normalizing Nazism” by featuring white supremacist Nick Fuentes on his platform.

“This isn’t really about free speech,” Shapiro asserted during a detailed rant, referencing a video titled “Tucker Carlson Sabotages America.”

He described Carlson as an “intellectual coward” and called him a “dishonest interlocutor” while labelling him a “terrible friend.” According to Shapiro, Carlson has become “America’s most vicious superspreader of vile ideas.”

Shapiro accused Carlson of acting as an “ideological launderer,” softening the hateful rhetoric of individuals like Fuentes, thereby making their perspectives more palatable within the Republican Party.

“Tucker Carlson decided to normalize and engage with Nick Fuentes… and the Heritage Foundation fully backed that decision,” Shapiro stated angrily.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts expressed support for Carlson after his interview with Fuentes, referring to him as a “close ally” of the organization’s conservative agenda.

Roberts criticized those who wanted to “remove” Carlson, labeling them a “toxic coalition” seeking to create division.

“Kevin said that nothing Tucker Carlson could do would sever his ties with the conservative movement,” Shapiro argued, adding, “It is a betrayal of Heritage’s history and principles.”

Reports suggested that some officials at the Heritage Foundation felt “embarrassed” and “disgusted” after Roberts’ endorsement of Carlson, particularly following the interview with Fuentes.

Shapiro accused Carlson of giving undue attention to Fuentes while associating with dictators and conspiracy theorists. He referenced Carlson’s comments about Russian President Vladimir Putin, highlighting Carlson’s remarks that praised Moscow as “much cleaner, safer, and more beautiful than any American city.”

Carlson has previously referred to “Christian Zionists”—evangelical supporters of Israel—as heretics. “I despise them as much as anyone,” Carlson remarked. “This is a heresy of Christianity, and as a Christian, I am outraged.”

Fuentes, who heads a white supremacist movement called Groypers, has faced bans from various platforms. Shapiro showcased numerous clips of Fuentes’ shocking statements.

Fuentes controversially claimed, “A lot of women want to be raped… There are many women who actually desire men to be violent with them, but part of that involves pretending they’re not being raped.”

Shapiro also called attention to Fuentes’ racially charged comments, where he dismissed Jim Crow laws by saying, “Oh, they had to drink water from a different fountain. Big deal… grow up… that’s water.”

Furthermore, Shapiro accused Carlson of promoting admirers of Hitler and Holocaust deniers by airing a video in which Fuentes referred to Adolf Hitler as “really cool.”

Fuentes has also mockingly denied the Holocaust and suggested that Jews are “responsible for every war in the world,” insinuating that they “need to be sentenced squarely to death.” He added, “Once we come to power, they must be absolutely annihilated.”

Shapiro criticized Carlson for ignoring anti-Semitism while attacking supposed allies.

He noted, “He claims the people he hates the most are… Christian Zionists, who make up a significant portion of conservatives,” indicating a disconnect in Carlson’s views.

The publication reached out to Carlson, Fuentes, and the Heritage Foundation for their perspectives on these accusations.
